The D. E. Shaw group seeks a skilled cross-platform software engineer to join its Systems team. This engineer will engage directly with technologists, identifying high-impact opportunities and moving quickly from experimentation to delivery, building integrations across multiple computing platforms and working at the forefront of AI-enabled productivity to meaningfully change how people work across the firm.

Design and implement cross-platform integrations across Windows, Linux, and other environments, including work on cutting-edge AI products and AI-enabled desktop workflows that improve user productivity firmwide.
Partner with frontier AI labs to evaluate and creatively integrate their latest models into our internal tooling through forward engineering initiatives.
Own solutions end-to-end with latitude to make impactful technical decisions.
Work directly with developers across the firm, surfacing high-impact opportunities and moving fast from experimentation to delivery.
Extend capabilities to mobile and other emerging platforms, anticipating the evolving needs of the firm.
