The D. E. Shaw group seeks an experienced, entrepreneurial, AI-native technical product manager to join its Generative AI Technology team. This team helps drive a growing portfolio of greenfield and evolving internal products that enable business units across the firm to plan and execute transformative generative AI initiatives. This hands-on, high-autonomy role offers the chance to work directly with developers and stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities, prototype practical AI-enabled solutions, and shape how emerging AI capabilities are applied to real business needs.

Identify how AI can reshape the way teams operate to help lead efforts to improve the AI developer experience.
Partner with developers, technical teams, and internal business stakeholders across the firm to scope and prioritize high-impact product opportunities.
Shape greenfield product concepts through early implementation in a fast-moving environment where priorities and technical possibilities evolve quickly.
Translate ambiguous business needs and emerging technical capabilities into product plans, prototypes, and lightweight specifications.
Drive product discovery, alignment, and decision-making across applied AI, developer experience, and related internal tooling efforts.
Experiment with modern AI tools to prototype workflows, internal products, and proof-of-concept solutions.
Work across multiple product spaces to improve internal workflows, user experiences, and technical productivity.
