What you’ll do
• Design and build automated test frameworks and suites that validate compliance surveillance, monitoring, and reporting systems
• Develop end-to-end and integration tests that exercise data ingestion, processing, and user interfaces used by compliance teams
• Partner with compliance engineers, software developers, and product owners to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and release gating
• Create tooling and synthetic data generators to simulate realistic trading activity and rare edge-case scenarios for scalable testing
• Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and delivery pipelines to enable faster, more reliable releases
• Execute performance, reliability, and regression testing; analyze results and drive remediation plans with engineering teams
• Own quality metrics, test coverage reporting, and risk assessments to prioritize testing efforts and increase confidence in deployments
• Troubleshoot defects in complex, distributed systems and lead root cause analysis to reduce recurrence
• Mentor engineers on testing best practices and help build a culture of automated testing and test-driven development
What’s required
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in software quality assurance or software engineering with testing responsibilities
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Demonstrable experience designing, building, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites
• Knowledge of trade lifecycle and position management concepts
• Familiarity with profit and loss fundamentals and how pricing and risk changes cascade across related products
• Experience with trading and position management systems such as Orchestrade, Murex, or Geneva
• Proficiency programming in Java or JavaScript and using associated test frameworks
• Experience testing data-intensive systems, including writing complex SQL queries and validating data integrity at scale
• Experience testing systems that process high-volume streaming or event-driven data and validating end-to-end workflows
• Experience testing APIs and service integrations using REST and validating multi-service interactions
• Experience integrating automated tests into continuous integration and delivery pipelines and producing test reports
• Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills when investigating defects in multi-tier systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an international environment
