Starlink pricing and promotions
Starlink's paid subscriber base reached 12 million at the end of June, an increase of roughly 17% in three months. Data collected by Kadoa suggests that targeted strategic pricing initiatives are being rolled out to speed up, and perhaps even rebalance, this growth. While Starlink has a truly global audience, its pricing strategy is already adapting to allow it to break into and grow new markets.
Coordinated Mini Kit cut across Latin America
Since late August, Starlink has cut the price of its entry-level Mini hardware across 17 Latin American markets by as much as 65%. Rather than flagged promotional offers, these cuts appear in list prices and suggest a rebasing of the hardware to encourage uptake amongst price-sensitive users in the region.

In the developed markets shown here, Australia and New Zealand saw reductions on the Mini Kit of 28% and 22% respectively, with the cuts being much slimmer than in Latin America.

Discounting shows up as list-price cuts, not promos
Since July 5, we observe 28 list-price changes across all markets, every one a reduction and all but one on hardware. Subscription pricing was essentially flat. These are changes to individual product listings; multiple listings can represent the same hardware in one market.
Between two and five products carry a flagged promo on any observed day. The standouts are:
- Brazil's Mini Family Bundle at R$499, with the end date extended twice to November 30.
- Bangladesh's Gen 2 kit at approximately 46% off through November 3.
- A US $0 Rental Kit offer with a listed end date in 2030.

Range and footprint are changing
Since July, coverage in the observed price lists has grown from 159 to 165 countries, adding roughly one market every two weeks. Additions include Côte d'Ivoire, Seychelles, Iraq, Turks and Caicos, Equatorial Guinea and Uganda.

From September 18, some Mini Kit listings change their name to Mini X. The chart separates those names; the decline in Mini Kit listings should not be read as an equivalent withdrawal from markets.
About the data and methodology
Kadoa collected 86 daily snapshots of Starlink's public price lists from July 3 through September 29, 2026. The latest snapshot contains 1,370 distinct country/product listings across 165 countries. Repeated listings across plans count once for product and promotion totals.
Mini price comparisons use the lowest list price in the standard hardware family, including Mini X renames, and exclude rentals, bundles and contract offers. Prices are compared in local currency without exchange-rate conversion.
Lines connect available observations across missing snapshot dates; tables and CSV downloads retain missing values. Listed availability and offer end dates do not guarantee availability at checkout.
