Role Overview
BAM is seeking an End User Experience Engineer to join our End User Experience Engineering team. This role helps engineer and operate end-user endpoint platforms across the firm, including modern remote access solutions (SASE/ZTNA), Apple (iOS/iPadOS, macOS via Jamf) and mobility, and contributing as a generalist across core end-user platforms (Windows endpoint ecosystem, collaboration clients, remote access, and experience telemetry).
This is an engineering role focused on standardization, automation, and reliability at scale. You will partner with Windows/VDI engineering, IAM, networking, security, and application teams to deliver a consistent and measurable end-user experience globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply a user-first mindset to build and maintain an end user experience that is seamless, efficient and world-class.
- Own next-gen remote access client rollouts (SASE/ZTNA) and ongoing management.
- Own core engineering and operations for Apple endpoints and mobility, including:
- Jamf Pro administration (policies, smart groups, inventory, self-service).
- Apple Business Manager, Automated Device Enrollment, and VPP app distribution.
- iOS/macOS lifecycle management (patching/upgrades, configuration profiles, compliance mechanics).
- Provide baseline Android coverage (Android Enterprise) for enrollment, compliance, and core app delivery.
- Contribute as a generalist across end-user platforms, including:
- Troubleshooting end-user experience issues spanning endpoints, identity, network/proxy, and SaaS client behavior.
- Application delivery and lifecycle support (packaging standards, deployment validation, rollback approaches).
- Build automation and reporting using scripting and APIs (Jamf API, device management APIs, and lightweight integrations as needed).
- Apply AI/LLM tools to reduce operational toil and improve troubleshooting, automation, and documentation (within firm controls and data handling standards).
- Produce and maintain runbooks, operational documentation, and change validation procedures; contribute to post-incident improvements and standardization.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in endpoint engineering, EUC, or end-user platform engineering in an enterprise environment (financial services preferred).
- Strong hands-on experience managing seamless and secure remote access solutions on a global scale.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apple platform management and solid macOS fundamentals.
- Experience managing iOS/iPadOS devices at scale (enrollment, compliance, app deployment).
- Working knowledge of Android Enterprise fundamentals (enrollment models, compliance, app delivery).
- Scripting/automation skills (bash/zsh and/or Python) and comfort working with APIs.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot cross-domain issues involving endpoints, identity, and network dependencies.
Preferred
- Familiarity with Windows endpoint ecosystem (basic SCCM/Intune concepts, packaging/deployment validation, client troubleshooting).
- Experience supporting VDI/Citrix environments (client behavior, profiles, performance considerations).
- Practical experience using AI/LLMs (Copilot/ChatGPT-style tools) to improve operational efficiency.
What You Bring
- Strong ownership and follow-through; comfortable operating in a high-impact user environment.
- Bias toward standardization and automation over manual administration.
- Clear communication and effective cross-team partnering.
Additional Information
- This role supports a global user base and may require flexibility to meet business needs.
- Occasional travel to BAM office locations may be required.
