The D. E. Shaw group seeks a senior engineer to join its End User Computing (EUC) team. The EUC team is responsible for engineering and operations for a wide variety of platforms and technologies within the end-user workspace, with a particular focus on the firm’s electronic communications and collaboration platforms. This is a hands-on technical role that offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and engaging environment focused on elevating the end-user experience across the firm.

You’ll serve as a senior hands-on engineering lead within the EUC team. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Develop roadmaps and long-term plans for EUC services, working alongside the business to identify, design, and architect new technologies, features, and innovations that could be beneficial to business needs.
Serve as a hands-on technical owner for a set of critical technologies that the EUC team supports, including designing, implementing, upgrading, and operating solutions across the end-user computing space, from next-generation mobile experiences to enterprise AI integrations within collaboration platforms.
Act as a liaison and senior escalation point for high-level troubleshooting of the Windows desktop operating system, working strategically with other engineering teams to expand the firm’s automation toolset and drive various technology initiatives for the firm.
Mentor engineers and operations staff, fostering their growth and enabling them to deliver complex projects independently.
