The D. E. Shaw group seeks a proactive, collaborative, and highly organized individual to work with the chief of staff to the firm’s senior-most technology leadership. This individual will contribute to projects that advance technology leadership’s priorities and effectiveness. The role provides a unique perspective on how the technology organization is run and the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that shape the direction of technology at the firm. Responsibilities: Help drive and track progress on the firm’s highest technology-related priorities. Conduct research, analyze data and issues, and synthesize findings to inform technology leadership discussions and decision-making. Coordinate strategic priorities that fall under the chief of staff to the firm’s senior-most technology leadership. Maintain visibility on technology work across the firm and prepare reporting for senior leadership. Who We're Looking For: A bachelor’s degree or higher in any academic field, a record of professional achievement, and at least three years of comparable experience. Demonstrated ability to drive work forward successfully and prioritize effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders across the firm. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to ask thoughtful questions and clearly summarize technical information. Experience managing projects and processes, keen attention to detail, and well-developed analytical skills. Sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. The expected annual base salary for this position is $150,000 to $210,000. Our compensation and benefits package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, and benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, 401(k) contribution matching, wellness reimbursement, family building benefits, and a charitable gift match program.
