Meet the Team
The Equities Research Tools team is looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer, who will be part of a team that develops applications and services that help portfolio managers with idea generation, portfolio construction, and trading.
Under the guidance of technology management, the engineer will also interact with equities management, risk research quants and investment professionals to understand requirements and offer technical solutions. The engineer should be self-motivated, detail oriented, organized, and able to demonstrate strong ownership of work and high work ethics.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications and services for equities research and trading workflows.
- Build intuitive, high-performing user interfaces using Angular or React.
- Develop scalable backend services using Python, Core Java, and Spring.
- Partner with portfolio managers, risk research quants, and equities management to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop tools supporting idea generation, portfolio construction, and real-time trading.
- Apply AI assistants and automation techniques to improve development workflows and business processes.
- Design and optimize data solutions using advanced SQL and modern data technologies.
- Contribute to the team’s engineering standards, code quality, and collaborative culture.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of full-stack development experience, preferably within financial services or a real-time electronic trading environment.
- Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring, Python, and advanced SQL.
- Experience with Angular is preferred; React experience will also be considered.
- Familiarity with Python data-processing libraries such as Polars is a plus.
- Experience using AI assistants and delivering task automation in a cost-conscious environment.
- Knowledge of equities and equity derivatives in a real-time electronic trading environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with investment professionals, quants, and technologists.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Snowflake; mobile development experience is a plus.
