Meet the Team
Core to the health and growth of our business, Millennium’s Information Technology organization develops the flexible, scalable technology and advanced proprietary systems that support the firm’s active, multi-manager platform. Within this environment, the Market Data Engineering team owns the full market data workflow across design, delivery and operational support, supporting a broad range of data services spanning low-latency and file-based solutions.
What You'll Do
- Develop real-time market data components that connect to brokers, exchanges, and other electronic trading venues
- Build and enhance systems that support the full data workflow, including design, delivery, and operational support across multiple data services
- Integrate market data solutions with related trading infrastructure, including pre-trade risk checking systems
- Engineer low-latency, high-performance, multi-threaded applications in C++ for production trading environments
- Analyze large data sets to troubleshoot issues, improve performance, and support platform reliability
- Tune applications and underlying OS and network settings across Windows and Linux environments to optimize performance
- Interpret exchange specifications and protocol definitions to implement and support connectivity solutions
- Partner closely with IT teams, developers, and Portfolio Managers to deliver robust market data capabilities
What You Bring
- 5+ years of professional experience in financial markets technology, ideally within a financial institution or financial services environment
- Advanced C++ development skills, with strong experience building low-latency, multi-threaded, high-performance systems
- Strong Linux programming experience, with hands-on knowledge of Windows and Linux at the OS and network tuning level
- Experience with kernel bypass optimization and performance on Linux platforms
- Proficiency in large-scale data analysis and advanced scripting, preferably in Python
- Strong understanding of trading asset classes such as equities, futures, and FX
- Deep familiarity with Asian market data feeds and market data platforms, including exchange raw feeds and third-party direct feeds
- Working knowledge of networking and connectivity concepts, including multicast, routing, and TCP/IP, along with strong written and verbal communication skills
