Role Overview

This role is a dedicated ETF distribution position supporting the growth of PIMCO’s active ETF platform across GWM and digital/intermediate channels. You will primarily own a segment of clients and prospective opportunities, deliver exceptional services, and create new opportunities using digital tools such as phone video conferencing. You will also work closely with Account Managers ("AM") to support them with their clients. This role will also include aspects of supporting the growth of PIMCO’s ETF Platform from a product development and management perspective.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility is to drive sales to achieve and surpass net and gross sales and targeted activity goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for the ETF platform and specifically supporting the ETF client channel.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to attract and acquire new clients and service existing clients through digital-based interactions. Within GWM/Marketing Team, it functions as an internal resource for ETF-related queries.
  • Support Head of ETF Sales with product development and management related tasks and projects.
  • Work with PIMCO management (specifically, GWM Sales Channel) to formulate, execute, and accomplish business plans that adhere to the guiding principles of keeping a long-term perspective and maintaining a consultative sales approach.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of PIMCO’s products, platforms, themes, initiatives, markets, strategies, and policies as well as those of its clients.
  • Maintain highest level of compliance with all industry and PIMCO regulations.
  • Schedule, conduct and follow-up on activities based on agreed upon goals. Activities include groups, one on one, and educational seminars.
  • Develop a productive working relationship with prospects, clients, and stakeholders in your territory.
  • Contribute to the strategic goal setting and budgets for your territory.
  • Provide feedback to PIMCO management on product demand, sales trends, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. CFA and/or MBA will be highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience Direct experience working with ETFs (issuer, broker, market maker, platform, or asset manager environment)
  • Demonstrated exposure to ETF distribution channels, including platforms, advisers, and/or broker networks.
  • Strong understanding of ETF mechanics, trading, liquidity, and capital markets concepts
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills required to create impactful engagement with financial advisors.
  • RG146 compliant or willing to obtain.
