Role Overview
The Risk Technology team is looking for an exceptional UI Engineer with some backend experience to develop and enhance a unified platform of risk applications used by the Risk department.
The engineer will work on expanding the platform’s capabilities, delivering new features while maintaining a consistent, intuitive, and high-quality user experience across the Risk application suite. They will contribute to a flexible UI framework that enables efficient development and seamless addition of new functionality.
The engineer should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to leverage their experience to build best-in-class solutions. They will be a strong communicator, able to manage multiple priorities, collaborate effectively across teams, and deliver robust technology requiring minimal support.
The successful candidate should be able to use modern AI-assisted development tools, including LLMs such as Claude and GPT, productively and responsibly—improving development efficiency while maintaining high standards for code quality, security, testing, maintainability, and engineering judgement.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of UI development experience.
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Ability to work across the entire application stack, including database, middleware, and UI.
• Experience in an object-oriented programming language such as C# (preferred), C++, or Java is a plus.
• Experience with AG Grid is a plus.
• Experience using LLM-based developer tools, such as Claude or GPT, while maintaining rigorous code-quality and engineering standards.
• Large-scale data and database experience is a plus.
• Self-starter who can work independently and drive a project from inception through delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Degree(s) in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a closely related field.
