Wisable, a tech-enabled business brokerage that spun out from D. E. Shaw’s venture studio, seeks a results-driven sales representative to join its fast-paced, growing team. Wisable leverages an AI-powered technology platform and tailored advisory services to deliver efficient, customer-centric transactions for small businesses (SMBs) navigating exits. The sales representative will actively engage prospective clients, assess their priorities and readiness to sell, and evaluate their business’s baseline viability, with the goal of converting leads into signed customers. This position is with Wisable, not the D. E. Shaw group. As a portfolio company of the D. E. Shaw group’s venture studio, DESCOvery, Wisable benefits from the firm’s industry expertise and network. Please note that Wisable will be reviewing all applications and making hiring decisions independently of the D. E. Shaw group. Responsibilities: Interact with small business owners navigating transition, requiring confidentiality and tactful trust building. Present, promote, and sell Wisable’s services to existing and prospective customers, performing cost-benefit and needs analyses to address client requirements. Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships, reaching out to leads through cold calls, and expediting the resolution of customer issues to maximize satisfaction. Coordinate sales efforts with team members to achieve sales targets and outcomes within schedule. Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports, and continuously improve through feedback. Who We're Looking For: A bachelor’s degree is required, and professional experience in a sales role in adjacent industries such as real estate, finance, or other industries serving SMBs is preferred. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while multi-tasking, project managing, and demonstrating forward thinking. Highly motivated and target-driven approach, with a proven track record in sales. Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills, along with solid prioritization, time management, and organizational abilities. Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to audience needs. A collaborative and proactive working style, as well as relationship management skills and openness to feedback. Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices, along with the ability to build productive business professional relationships; HubSpot experience is a plus. The expected annual base salary for this position is $60,000 to $90,000. There will be additional compensation in the form of earned commissions.
