We are seeking a self-driven Application Support Specialist who is passionate about all aspects of application support; including documentation, training, troubleshooting, and customer service. The position will be part of our Application Support team. The Application Support Specialist will work closely with our Software Development and Quality Assurance teams. We desire a candidate with strong problem-solving, critical thinking and communication skills who can collaborate across functional groups.
The focus of this position will be the hands-on support for users of our internally developed trading software. Our software includes an information-dense user interface, a high-throughput, low latency parallel computational core, server components, interfaces to exchanges, market data sources, and execution systems. The ideal candidate will participate in oversight of application monitoring, troubleshooting and process improvement.
Requirements:
- A college or university degree and 3-5 years of experience in application support
- Ability to write application support documentation and create documentation standards
- Experience in developing, coordinating and conducting application support training
- Proficiency with one or more programming or scripting languages (preferably C#, PowerShell, Python, or Perl).
- Experience with SQL and software development lifecycles are a plus, but not required.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues across different functional groups and locations
