Norges Bank Investment Management is looking for an outstanding individual to lead our Asia team, part of the Fixed Income department within the Market Strategies Investment Area. You will be responsible for managing and developing a high-performing team of portfolio managers and traders in Singapore, while taking a leading role in generating excess returns from Asian developed market fixed income.
The Fixed Income department manages the fund’s broad fixed income portfolios, currently valued at around USD 400 billion. The Asia team covers government and government-related bonds, interest rate swaps, bond futures and FX forwards across Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore with a mandate to engage across the broader market universe. It is a fully integrated portfolio management and trading team that collaborate closely with Singapore-based colleagues focusing on emerging market fixed income, and the Fixed Income department globally.
The position is located in Singapore and reports to the Global Head of Fixed Income.
What you will do
- Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with the department’s objectives.
- Take primary responsibility for the Asia developed market mandate, including positioning, risk management and performance attribution
- Lead, manage and develop a high-performing integrated team of portfolio managers and traders
- Contribute to the broader Fixed Income department, including cross-team collaboration and department-level initiatives
- Play a leading role in building and maintaining a strong office culture in Singapore
- Actively drive the adoption of AI and new technology within the team to improve investment processes and decision-making
What you need
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in fixed income portfolio management, with a strong and verifiable investment track record
- Deep understanding of Asian developed market rates and currency markets
- Desire and capability to take on and manage risk, following a rigorous, analysis-based process
- You have managed and/or mentored investment professionals and understand what it takes to build a high-performing team
